The Portuguese government has made funding available to support the decarbonization of domestic industry under the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR). This program funds the adoption of renewable energy, sustainable production technologies, and energy efficiency measures in the industrial sector.
Who is it for?
Support is available to companies in the industrial sector (CAE 05-33), of any size or legal structure, established on or after January 1, 2021, with the appropriate licenses and permits in force.
Eligible Areas of Intervention
- Low-carbon processes and technologies: equipment replacement, incorporation of alternative materials, and digital monitoring solutions
- Energy efficiency measures: optimization of motors, compressed air systems, industrial furnaces, heat recovery, and industrial refrigeration systems
- Renewable energy and storage: solar photovoltaic installations, heat pumps, adaptation to renewable fuels, and energy storage systems
Support conditions
Modality A (Simplified): base rate of 55% with additional bonuses; maximum of €200,000 per project. Suitable for simpler projects with lower investment volumes.
Modality B (Non-Simplified): financing between 30% and 80%; maximum of €15 million per project. For larger-scale projects requiring detailed analysis.
The maximum project duration is 24 months.
